Collingham History Society
The Collingham and District Local History Society was formed in 1977 as the Collingham Museums Committee since when it has grown and developed to form today’s Society which is registered with the Charity Commission [No.1164058]. The Society hosts regular events, publishes a Journal and houses the District’s historic archives in the History Centre, open to the public on a regular basis.
We actively encourage individuals to join in any of our activities. Use the links on this page to see what we can offer you. Membership has many benefits, including free access to our presentations. Membership helps us to continue our work as the Society grows.
Our talks and events are often given by local, regional or national professional speakers and historians. You can also visit our Archives in the Society’s or History Centre where you can be assisted to undertake your own private research or enjoy the events that take place there, such as mini-exhibitions and tutorials.
