Faldingworth Memorial Hall

Nigel Ward, Gusto Construction Director, presented his Gusto Community Fund donation of £500 to Faldingworth Memorial Hall in 2020, and has since re-donated in 2021. As a resident of Faldingworth himself, Nigel wanted to donate to a project that would positively impact his local community.

Faldingworth Village keep their village hall open which provides a meeting point for the community and community groups; pub nights, coffee and tearoom and village shop 4 mornings a week and in these difficult times try to support the community to an even higher level.

Faldingworth have a village Facebook page and sought the views of the residents as to how they would like any grant which they might receive to be spent. The overwhelming view was that they should spend the money on a large screen TV for the village Hall which can be used for enhancing the services provided to the community. A smart TV could be used for so many purposes such as watching craft / art videos, keep fit / yoga classes, children’s programmes, watching sport and films and important national events together.
