Gusto employee, Brandon Mersh, presented his £500 Gusto Community Fund donation to Newark Community First Aid.
NCFA provides FREE Community first aid training to approximately 2,500 people in Newark and villages in a 14 mile radius of the town. They support youth organisations, charities and local community groups with training as well as the general public. They provide local businesses with Workplace Training; they also provide volunteer first aiders to cover around 400 local events every year treating around 1,000 patients. During COVID Emergency their volunteers provided telephone support to hundreds of vulnerable people plus medication and shopping deliveries and specialised transport to hospitals and GP appointments.
The funds will be put towards the purchase of a new Resuscitation Manikin for training the public and their own volunteers.
