Gusto Construction’s Sam Atkins presented his £500 Gusto Community Fund donation to the Newark Town Under 11’s Girls team.

Newark Town FC is a grassroots football club offering sporting opportunities to children and adults of all abilities in the Newark area. We are the only club in Newark to offer an all-girls football team of which we now have 9 teams.

Sam always loved football and played up until 3 years ago and Last year was asked to help coach a team.

Sams’s daughters Maizie and Bailey learnt their football skills through the development centre and both girls were placed into teams. Maizie now plays for the girls under 11s’ team of which Sam now helps to coach alongside Dan Richardson. Through football the girls develop leadership, communication, team building skills, friendships and above all they have fun. So far, the team have won all 3 games played.

Sam’s £500 donation will be spent on tracksuits for the team.
